About Us

The Department of Architecture began its undergraduate education in the 1995–1996 academic year by accepting 30 students within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Süleyman Demirel University. The number of students enrolling in the department has increased every year, and the Department of Architecture continues to offer education with a capacity of 90 students in the 2021–2022 academic year. Master's degree education in the Department of Architecture began in the 2002–2003 academic year and continues today. In the 2005–2006 academic year, as a result of bilateral agreements with Italy, Germany, and Lithuania, the Department of Architecture joined the Erasmus Program and currently has ongoing bilateral agreements with Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Greece, and Germany. In addition, student exchanges are facilitated with universities in Turkey under the Farabi program. On March 8, 2012, the Department of Architecture was transferred to the Faculty of Architecture following the division of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Süleyman Demirel University and the establishment of the Faculty of Architecture. The department offers education, training, and research in Building Science, Structural Engineering, History of Architecture, Restoration, and all subfields within these areas.
