A Field Application Study Was Carried Out Within the Scope of the Surveying and Restoration Course

Within the scope of our University’s Architecture Department Surveying and Restoration course, students had the opportunity to carry out their work on site at the Atabey Ertokuş Madrasa under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Seda Şimşek, Adjunct Instructor Gamze Akyol, and Adjunct Instructor Ayşe Gün.

Students examined the building’s structural features, assessed materials and deterioration, and prepared preliminary restoration proposals. This fieldwork helped reinforce their theoretical knowledge, and the collected data will be used in the course’s survey and restoration projects.
