Architecture Academy Awards Event Logo Design Selection

The subject of the logo selection is the award ceremony event to be presented to the academicians, administrative staff and students of Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Architecture within the scope of Mimar Sinan Week Activities held every year in April.

Undergraduate students of the Faculty of Architecture will be able to participate in the selection individually or in groups of 2.

Submission format and features of the designs

Designed logos must be submitted together with;

  • A4 size;

* PDF format
* 2 copies, in color and black and white (in case of colored design)

  • A ‘design explanation report’ prepared not to exceed one page (the content of which contributes to the story behind the logo and the criteria of the logo’s suitability to the theme).

Note: In the submission documents, nicknames consisting of two numbers and one letter will be used instead of the names of the designers.

 

Design submission date and method

Designs must be sent to the official e-mail address of the Faculty Secretary of the Faculty of Architecture, Zühal Sema Bardak, zuhalbardak@sdu.edu.tr, by 5:30 pm on April 5, 2025.

 

The evaluation of the designs will be made based on the following criteria;

  • Story, scenario behind the logo
  • Suitability of the logo to the theme
  • Applicability of the design (adaptation to different materials with different methods)
  • Originality,

As a result of the evaluation, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best designs will be selected.

 

1. The selected logo design will be used in the awards, certificates of achievement and related equipment to be presented at the Architecture Academy Awards Award Ceremonies, which are aimed to become traditional. The social transcript will be presented to the students who own the first 3 designs by the Dean's Office.

  • The evaluation of the designs participating in the selection will be carried out by the Faculty of Architecture Awards Committee and other academic staff determined by the dean's office, and the results will be announced to the winning participants on April 8, 2025, via the e-mail address to which they sent their selection documents.
