Auditory Enlightenment for the Visually Impaired

Following the exhibition titled “The Barrier-Free Experience of Space,” which presented projects and innovative practices developed through a collaborative study with the Altı Nokta Association for the Blind within the scope of the Project 3 course, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda ŞİMŞEK, a faculty member of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, and her students, the first phase of the works focusing on “Architectural Description of Space” has been implemented by our Faculty through QR codes.

Within this scope, the relevant QR codes prepared as part of the project have been placed in designated areas and will be made available to the experience of visually impaired individuals in the near future. As a first-of-its-kind initiative, the application is planned to be expanded across our University and throughout the city; accordingly, our Faculty will provide the necessary content and support.
